Heery Coo

That's right folk's..."Heery Coo." I took a little tour of the Highlands yesterday and one of our stops was a pasture where Hamish the Heery Coo resides. He was large, eats grass and has long hair. It reminds me of someone...but who? Here are some lovely shots. You will notice they posted a sign requesting people refrain from grabbing a large, dangerous animal. I thought this was a little insulting to people's intelligence until a couple of girls from Texas muttered "well that's no fun."

Effigy

November 5th was Guy Fawkes Day. For all of you in the colonies, that is the day the Brits celebrate foiling Guy Fawkes plan to destroy parliament with 36 barrels of gunpowder. The celebration consists of continuous fireworks from six at night until 3 in the morning, burning Mr. Fakes in effigy, and setting random (unmanned) bonfires around the country. The result is much more damaged to the country as a whole than Guy could ever had achieved. Missing fingers, charred fields, and an exhausted fire department. I think it's the best holiday ever. Here is a poor night time picture.
